Final Magazine Advert

This is our final magazine advert. We also included the social media pages for the artist in the bottom left as well as adding more text on the poster such as the album name. We took on board our feedback from our draft and enlarged the typography at the top of the page which includes the artist's name and the album name to make it stand out to the audience. Another improvement made was adding reviews of the album towards the bottom of the page as these are typically found on magazine adverts. Our final improvement was to remove the artistic effect applied to the previous design as the blur effect made the quality of the image look of a low quality, this is the reason for it being removed.

Final Digipak Design

We improved upon another design and have decided to use this as our final digipak. Some of the improvements that we made were to include a barcode, record label and iTunes. We also added a spine to the digipak containing the artist and album. On the inside cover we added a review from the guardian as well to further promote the album. We also decided to remove the effect we had on the picture as it just looked like a bad image rather than an artistic effect.

Digipak Draft 2

Here is our second digipak draft, it is a slightly different design to the last one as this design has six panels instead of four. This means that it will contain more information as well as more images. After realising that the first design contained an image of the artist on every panel and generically, in our genre the artist doesn't feature on the digipak this was taking on board when designing this one. I have chosen to only have the artist feature on one panel on purpose in order to follow the conventions of our genre.

Music Video Rough Cut 2 & Feedback

The feedback received on this rough-cut was much improved from the feedback on the first rough cut as we had a lot more footage this time. A big negative on this video was that some of the clips had audio from filming still on them and it had not been detached and deleted yet. This was bad as you could hear it over the audio from the music and created quite a distraction. Another negative from this rough cut was that it still had pieces missing and occasional black screen but no where near as much as the other rough cut. However people giving feedback were not able to see a full video. A positive from this rough cut were that there were some good shots added in of a train journey. These were good as it helped to explain a change in location. Feedback from the first rough cut also suggested to get rid of the bit in the woods where we sped the clip up as it did not fit in, we removed this part.

Digipak Rough Cut

This digipak uses pictures taken at one of the locations within the music video. One convention of the genre is that they do not usually include pictures of the artist, instead I have decided to use pictures of the artist however keep his identity quite hidden. Also see the iTunes logo located at the bottom left.
