Representation In Music Video

Gender
In our clip we have only casted male actors. We have 2 brothers with a small age difference of 3-4 years. The way gender has been shown in our video is non stereotypical as the main actor is portrayed in a sad way where he seems very upset. This is unusual because usually men are not seen to show their emotions because it is a sign of 'weakness', stereotypically a female would be more likely to show this much emotion.

Age
In our music video age is shown stereotypically as we see an older brother caring for his younger brother when a car crash happens. After this incident the older brother is very upset. it is also stereotypical because the older brother (artist) is about the age of people who listen to the indie genre which is alternative. We have casted someone of a similar age to our target market so that the video becomes relatable for the audience.

Sexuality
This is not represented in our music video.

Ethnicity
Within our video there are only white males casted and so it is not possible to comment on ethnicity. You could say that the race casted are seen as more dominant and important because they were casted and not another ethnicity.

Disability
Disability is not represented in our video.

Class
Our music video will show class represented as middle class. The characters will not be lower class as most artist would not be however our genre would not have higher class characters becauise they are working class.

Regional Identity
Within our video our character is represented as someone who lives near to a city however most of the locations he is seen in are public places where there are fields around and where it is quiet.
