In order to find the perfect candidate for our music video we needed to conduct an audition. This meant we would see a few people and how they would deal with situations such as those you would find in our music video. This meant we needed to find someone who fit in with the genre and the music video narrative.
We put them through scenarios like ones in our video where they would have to be in character. This gave us the opportunity to see who could be our character best. One of the people in the audition was a good fit in the end because they had a brother which was convenient for our storyline.
This was the one we chose in the end from the people who auditioned. He was a good fit because he was a media student too. He was the correct age group for our video and he had a brother. This made him a good candidate for our music video.
This person we auditioned also had a younger brother which made him a good candidate for our music video. the reason we did not choose this person from the audition was that he did not have personal interest in the genre of our film so this meant he lacked interest. He also did not deal with the pressure of being filmed as well as the first candidate.
This candidate was good and had interest in the music video. He was also very good at being on camera however he did not have a brother who was younger or a suitable age for our film. Finally he also could not drive a car which was an important part of the narrative for our music video. This meant he was not a suitable character.
